Infected win conditions

You succeed when you:

• Approach from angles humans are not pre-aiming.

• Relocate after every convert so your silhouette is not a permanent waypoint.

You fail when you sprint down lit mid as a yellow billboard, emote on corpses, or tunnel a Heavy Vest camper while two peelers free-hit your back.

First ten seconds after conversion

1. Stop swinging like a human. Your bat muscle memory is gone; your tools are approach, patience, and grab timing.

3. Leave the convert spot. Humans check the last scream.
4. Pick a lane. Flank stairs, pipe runs, or a doorway humans must cross to vest.
5. Call a role if stacked. One compact + one loud morph converts faster than two egos mid-lane.

Grab timing

Grabs punish recovery, menus, and greed — not perfect aim duels.

• Wait for a human whiff in a doorway.
• Punish vest-room tunnel vision.
• Hit isolated scouts before you hit a formed trio.
• If a peel starts, disengage early; resetting beats dying for pride.
• After a missed lunge, break line of sight instead of repeating the same angle.

VR infected players should commit only when tracking feels stable. Desktop infected should not wide-strafe into obvious S-tier katana reach. Mobile infected should favor compact paths with fewer camera fights.

Using goo without trapping yourself

Goo forms and puddles are how LITE expresses mutation fantasy, but not every liquid is a power-up. Some puddles advance your path; others leave you stuck mid-transform under a doorway hold. Until you know a puddle from live LITE play, treat unknowns as dangerous.

Rules:

• Finish transforms in cover.
• Do not AFK in puddles under known vest spawns — humans route there with long melee.
• If you are still human and optional goo appears, skip it unless you intend to go infected this life.

Role playbook by color band

S — black / compact flanker

Hug dark geometry. Enter late. Convert one, leave. You are the scalpel. Avoid mid-room dances.

A — pink / red pressure

Accept visibility. Hold halls, freeze rotations, force humans to spend swings. Pair with a compact ally who finishes panicking survivors.

B — gray / green learner

Play corners, follow louder morphs, practice grab timing without demanding S-tier stealth. Most improvement happens here.

C — white / yellow bait

You are information. Draw whiffs on purpose, then let allies collapse. If you hate being focused, do not queue bright forms and expect stealth results.

Hunting vest routes

Humans live and die on Light/Heavy pickups. Infected players should learn the same routes from the opposite seat:

• Camp angles near vest rooms, not inside the obvious doorway every time.
• Punish Heavy greed hardest — slow humans in a hot lobby are free.
• When survivors travel in peeler + door-holder pairs, wait for the peeler to commit elsewhere.
• Force fights before humans stabilize S-tier loadouts from Weapon Tiers.

Pressure without feeding peels

A common infected mistake is overstaying on a partial grab. Peels exist. When two humans turn, leave. You can return twenty seconds later from a new angle. Dying to give one survivor a bat highlight slows the whole morph side in a 30-player server.

Stack discipline:

• One morph engages, one morph flanks.
• Do not all enter the same lit rectangle.
• After a convert, assign the next target instead of celebrating.

Information warfare

Humans prioritize what they can see. That is why loud forms die more. Use that:

• Send C-tier bright morphs first as bait when willing.
• Move S-tier compact morphs on a delayed timer.
• Change elevations so VR tracking and desktop crosshairs disagree.
• Break line of sight through facility props instead of long sprints.

If survivors start calling your color correctly, swap jobs or paths. Static habits get farmed.

What not to trust

Practice plan for infected lives

1. Convert once and land a single clean grab from a flank — no mid sprint.
2. Play one life as intentional bait on a loud form.
3. Play one life as black/compact and never enter mid.
4. Spend one life only denying vest rooms.
